Parliamentary elections were held in the United Kingdom on May 7. David Cameron’s Conservatives placed first with 306 out of 650 seats. Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s Labour went down from 349 to 258 seats. The Liberal Democrats, led by Nick Clegg, held the balance with 62 seats.
